Why families choose us

A Strong Start

We offer ongoing transitions for our students as they begin their journey at WPS to gradually get to know our school and each other. This ensures our students feel confident and secure as they take their first steps on their learning path. Our Kindergarten students start their educational journey in our amazing new classrooms.

Support for Every Family

Our teachers and the learning support team work with our families to meet social, emotional and academic needs. We also draw on additional NSW Department of Education staff beyond the school as needed to provide expert guidance when needed. We work hand in hand with our parents to develop our students socially and educationally.

High Quality Education

Our school employs evidence-based instruction techniques to deliver the NSW syllabus. Our skilled teachers use explicit teaching structures and strategies to maximise student growth. This is complemented by a consistent focus on student wellbeing. We use the Berry Street Education Model to foster calm, productive classrooms and to strengthen peer relationships. Our Executive staff are highly involved with all aspects of the school and very engaged with our students.

Easy to Access

Located in the heart of beautiful Wauchope, our school is easy to access by public transport, walking, riding or driving. This makes every day at school more convenient for our families.

"My children feel safe, secure and inspired as learners every day. They love their school and feel a strong sense of belonging.” - a parent of Wauchope Public School
