Wauchope out of school hour care WOOSH

WOOSH is run by the P and C of Wauchope Public School. We are a not-for-profit organisation that provides care for children aged 5 to 12 year olds. This has been set up primarily for working parents although we do offer care for children who would like to use the service where vacancies permit. We are licensed to take 80 children per day.

What we offer

The centre offers care in before and after school, Monday to Friday from 6:30am to 8:30am at a cost of $25.00 per session and 3:00pm to 6:00pm at the cost of $35.00 per session and vacation care, Monday to Friday from 6:30am to 6:00pm at the cost of $100.00 per day (depending on excursion). All excursion & incursion costs are included in the daily fee submitted for Child Care Subsidy (CCS). Please remember that this cost is offset by the CCS payments depending on your income level. Most families find themselves only paying around a quarter to half of the advertised cost.

It is essential that payment of fees need to be one week in advance at all times to ensure your child's place within the centre.

Children are provided with a healthy breakfast & afternoon tea each day, except during vacation care. Students make their way from their classrooms to the centre each afternoon. The children develop social skills, friendships, and are offered a program with indoor, outdoor and recreational activities.

For those families requiring Vacation Care, the centre provides activities at Woosh as well as going on outings to places such as the Movies, the Billabong, Library, Spring-loaded, Trial Bay Gaol, Local parks but to name a few. Woosh will notify families by way of a program by week 5 of term, this will include activity, cost and what your child needs to bring.  Being a sun safe service, we do not permit singlets, shoestring dresses or any outfit that exposes the shoulders.

Children must be enrolled in school before being accepted and must be under the age of 12 years.
